‘Moderates’ Like Andy Beshear Use ‘Emotional Blackmail’ To Cloak Trans Extremism In Counterfeit Compassion

Published

on

Kentucky Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear used “emotional blackmail” to cloak his extremist position about kids with gender dysphoria in “moderate” language this week during an interview on MSNBC.

On Sunday, the governor went on “Inside with Jen Psaki” to discuss his recent election to a second term in the historically red state, which voted for President Donald Trump by 26 points three years ago.

“One of the issues that came up was of course trans rights. You did not hesitate to veto a sweeping anti-trans bill passed by the Kentucky state legislature,” Psaki said. “Your opponents still kind of came after you. … It didn’t work. What does that tell you about the effectiveness of this kind of an attack?”

Psaki was referencing the governor’s March veto of a bill designed to protect children from transgender medical interventions, which carry painful lifelong consequences. The legislation vetoed by Beshear — which the legislature ultimately passed anyway, overriding the governor by an overwhelming majority — bars transgender surgeries and wrong-sex hormones for children under 18.

On MSNBC, Beshear went on to engage in what Amber Duke, the Washington editor at the American Spectator, described as “emotional blackmail based on bad science.”

“All children are children of God,” Beshear said, twisting the compassionate-sounding words before spreading routine falsehoods linking child protection laws to increases in suicide. “These are individuals that are already at the margins. The studies show [they] suffer

The GOP’s ‘Pro-Life’ Party Platform Does Nothing To Protect Unborn Babies

Published

on

The debut of the Republican National Committee’s recently revamped platform was celebrated by top Republicans and even some pro-life groups as a unifying message that will carry former President Donald Trump to victory come November. Buried in the abortion section of the 16-page document, however, is permission for the murder of millions of unborn babies via abortion and in vitro fertilization.

It’s no secret that the Trump campaign worked with the RNC to “gut” the party’s old promises to hold the abortion industry accountable and protect life at whatever cost. Sure enough, when the GOP publicized its 2024 pledge on Monday, its promise to “proudly stand for families and life” stopped short of delivering on tried and true protections for unborn babies.

The weak commitment could be amended after review by the platform committee in Milwaukee next week, but it’s unlikely that much will change.

To appease demands that abortion for Republicans be a hands-off, “state issue,” the RNC framed the 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson decision as reaffirming a “power has been given to the states and to a vote of the people.” The resolution ironically invokes the 14th Amendment, which prohibits the government from depriving Americans of life, liberty, or property without due process, as reasoning for giving states free reign over whether babies live or die.

The GOP’s deliberate failure to carry over the party’s 2016 pledge to “support a human life amendment to the Constitution and legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to

Dems Are Consolidating Absolute Power In The Name Of ‘Democracy’

Published

on

We have now entered the “stage a coup against a sitting president endorsed by primary voters because we don’t think he can win an election” phase of “saving democracy.”

Democrats, through external and internal efforts, are pressuring President Joe Biden to step down from the presidential race. But why is the left only concerned about Biden’s candidacy? Why don’t Democrats acknowledge that if the current president is not fit to run, he’s not fit to be in office at all? It’s because they care less about the wellbeing of the nation and more about how Biden’s 2024 campaign threatens their hold on the executive branch.

Now, in an effort to avoid such a loss, the party wants to tell its primary voters to kick rocks.

But this isn’t the first step Democrats have taken to consolidate their power — er, protect “democracy” — in our Republic.

Censorship

Democrats have taken a sledgehammer to the First Amendment over the past few years, limiting what information the public can read, listen to, or watch.

After taking office, the Biden administration began a widespread coordination effort with social media companies to “censor posts” that were, as my colleague Shawn Fleetwood explained it, “deemed unfavorable, even if said posts contained factually correct information.”

A lower court judge issued a preliminary injunction last July after Missouri and Louisiana sued the Biden administration, citing an abridgment of the First Amendment. The 5th Circuit later upheld the injunction in September before the Supreme Court gutted the First

Biden Admin Plans To Kill Hundreds Of Thousands Of Owls In The Name Of ‘Conservation’

Published

on

The Associated Press reported last week that federal officials are preparing to deploy state-employed hunters to kill nearly half a million owls across the Pacific Northwest in the name of “conservation.”

“U.S. wildlife officials are embracing a contentious plan to deploy trained shooters into dense West Coast forests to kill almost a half-million barred owls that are crowding out their cousins,” the AP reported. “Documents released by the agency show up to about 450,000 barred owls would be shot over three decades after the birds from the eastern U.S. encroached into the West Coast territory of two owls: northern spotted owls and California spotted owls.”

The Fish and Wildlife Service is targeting owls across Oregon, Washington, and California. According to an agency press release, no public hunting of the barred owls will be permitted while the government carries out the mass execution of roughly half a million birds. Only certain indigenous tribes, government agencies, and select companies and landowners will be granted permission to “implement barred owl management” under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

“Barred owl removal, like all invasive species management, is not something the Service takes lightly,” said Service Oregon Office state supervisor Kessina Lee. “The Service has a legal responsibility to do all it can to prevent the extinction of the federally listed northern spotted owl and support its recovery, while also addressing significant threats to California spotted owls.”

“The notion of killing one bird species to save another has divided wildlife advocates and conservationists,” the AP
