How Integrity And Restraint Made Cleveland One Of America’s Greatest Presidents

Published

on

Most Americans today do not know much about Grover Cleveland. The fact that he was the only president to serve two discontinuous terms (1885–89 and 1893–97) has reduced him to an answer in trivia games. In this new biography of Cleveland, “A Man of Iron: The Turbulent Life and Improbable Presidency of Grover Cleveland,” author Troy Senik makes a persuasive argument that Cleveland was one of America’s greatest presidents — and it’s worth remembering and appreciating the traits that made him great.

Cleveland’s life was a typical self-made American success story. He was born in a modest family in New

Biden Pressers Confirm ‘Get Trump’ Lawfare Is A Campaign Stunt

Published

on

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign sent “special guests” to stump for the incumbent on Tuesday outside the Manhattan courthouse where former President Donald Trump has been defending himself from Democrat lawfare. Just days prior, Politico reported that Biden will comment from the White House on the impending verdict in the show trial once it’s delivered. As if Biden’s previous decisions to taunt Trump for being detained in court and fundraise off the lawfare campaign weren’t enough evidence, Team Biden’s last-minute press calls confirm the inherently political nature of the lawfare spectacle.

The campaign enlisted anti-Trump actor Robert De Niro and former Capitol Police officers Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone to act as surrogates for the president outside the courtroom where Trump’s defense is making closing arguments. Biden’s reelection campaign sent out a press release hyping the event.

“You all are already here,” Biden campaign spokesman Michael Tyler said when asked why the campaign chose to host a political presser outside the courthouse where a lawfare trial is underway. “It’s easy to talk about the choice in this election when the entire news media is camped out here day in and day out.”

The press has been present for every day of the trial since it began in April. Biden’s campaign, however,

Biden Exploits Beau’s Death Again, This Time To Visit His Widow Before She Testifies In Hunter’s Trial

President Joe Biden randomly stopped by his daughter-in-law’s house days before she is scheduled to testify in her brother-in-law and ex-lover Hunter Biden’s federal gun trial.

Hallie Biden, the wife of Biden’s late son Beau Biden, is slated to speak during the trial, which begins on June 3, about the younger Biden son and the three federal felony charges he accumulated for allegedly lying on a federal form about his extensive and public drug use during a revolver purchase in 2018.

Biden, with the White House press pool in tow in a van, rolled up to Hallie’s Delaware residence on Saturday night for what appeared to be a “brief” private chat away from cameras and reporters.

The White House insisted to the New York Post that the stop had nothing to do with Hallie’s role as a witness in the government’s prosecution of Hunter and everything to do with Beau’s death.

“He visited her because of the approaching 9th anniversary of Beau’s passing,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates said.

While Biden has made several public appearances related to the anniversary of his son’s passing in recent years, his travel schedule does not suggest he had an annual habit of dropping in on his daughter-in-law at her house days before Beau’s death date.

Biden is no stranger to using his son’s death to score political points, but Hallie’s role as a key witness for the prosecution of her ex-boyfriend raises questions about the president’s alleged deviation from his standard Beau

Michelle Obama’s Dark Money Group Launches Campaign To Turn Out Likely-Democrat Voters

Published

on

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has never been one to shy away from sharing her highly-partisan political views. So, it came as no surprise when an organization she created announced a coordinated campaign last week to target and register likely-Democrat voters ahead of the 2024 election.

On Thursday, the Obama-founded When We All Vote initiative launched its “Culture of Democracy Tour,” a summer-long effort to “register, educate and engage thousands of voters and volunteers.” This tour, according to the group’s press release, aims to bring “voting to popular culture through events, sweepstakes, campaigns, voter registration drives and more in partnership with the organization’s thousands of volunteers and partners.”

The campaign appears to be part of When We All Vote’s “Culture of Democracy Collective,” a network of more than 200 organizations and businesses focused on “registering, educating and mobilizing voters.” Many of the initiative’s partners are well-known groups and corporations, such as the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center and Lyft. According to When We All Vote’s presser, the rideshare company has committed to “offer[ing] discounted rides to the polls during primaries, early voting and on Election Day across the country, as well as help riders, drivers and team members register, prepare to vote and understand voting ID requirements.”

Sports teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves are also members of the network.

A Democrat GOTV Drive Masquerading as ‘Nonpartisan’

Despite professing to be a “nonpartisan initiative,” When We All Vote’s summer campaign is anything but. Many of
