Corporations And Advertisers, Stop Falling For The Left’s ‘Anti-Hate’ Scam

Published

on

If all of Twitter comes crashing down under its new ownership, I’ll sleep just like I did after hearing that half the company’s workforce had been laid off — which is to say, soundly. But the news last week that a bunch of companies are halting their paid advertisements on Twitter is a big problem.

New company CEO Elon Musk himself said Friday that “activist groups” were “pressuring advertisers” against buying promotional space on Twitter. Among the companies withholding their dollars are giants like General Motors, General Mills, and pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

The leftist Anti-Defamation League and NAACP led the

Obama-Appointed Judge Smacks Down Marc Elias’ ‘Absurd’ Election Lawfare

Published

The firm of Democrats’ favorite lawfare artist — who was also the attorney behind the Russia-collusion hoax — was all but laughed out of court in a recent Wisconsin election integrity case.

D.C.-based Elias Law Group, founded by former Clinton campaign and Democrat National Committee lawyer Marc Elias, brought a “novel” absentee ballot complaint against the state that an Obama-appointed judge called “head-scratching.”

In dismissing the lawsuit against the Wisconsin Elections Commission, U.S District Court Chief Judge James D. Peterson summarily rejected the leftist law group’s outlandish claim that a state law requiring a U.S. citizen witness and sign an absentee voter’s ballot is a violation of voting and civil rights.

‘Absurd’ Interpretation

In a 37-page ruling, Peterson railed against the complaint’s core argument, concluding that “the most obvious problem with plaintiffs’ interpretation is that it simply does not make any sense.”

“The absurd results to which plaintiffs’ interpretation would lead are reason enough to reject that interpretation. But the text, purpose, and history of [Wisconsin Statute] § 6.87 also support an interpretation that a witness is required to certify only the statements about the process of preparing the ballot,” Peterson wrote of the lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.

“It is plaintiffs’ interpretation that leads to head-scratching results,” the federal judge wrote.

The Elias Law Group, practitioners of unbridled leftist lawfare, represent four Wisconsin residents who “wish to vote by absentee ballot in the 2024 election, but they do not

HHS Strips EcoHealth Alliance Of Federal Funds Over Reckless Coronavirus Research

Published

on

On Tuesday, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) formally suspended federal funding for EcoHealth Alliance and recommended it face debarment for its lack of transparency and reckless handling of coronavirus-related research in Wuhan, China. With U.S. taxpayer dollars five years ago and earlier, EcoHealth Alliance funded Chinese research into worsening viruses linked to the Covid-19 outbreak, according to federal reports and independent reporting.

In a letter released Wednesday, Henrietta Brisbon, HHS’s suspension and debarment official, informed EcoHealth President Peter Daszak that the federal government is suspending funds to EcoHealth and proposing the organization be debarred “from participating in United States Federal Government procurement and nonprocurement programs.” The suspension and debarment recommendation took effect on Tuesday.

“I have determined that there is adequate evidence to document that [EcoHealth Alliance] has not been compliant with federal regulations and grant terms and conditions, which affects EHA’s present responsibility,” Brisbon wrote in the agency’s action referral against EHA.

As Helen Raleigh reported at The Federalist, EcoHealth Alliance is a nongovernmental organization that from 2014-2020, sent “more than half a million dollars’ worth of U.S. government grants, including those from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) with Anthony Fauci’s approval, to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to conduct gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses.” While Trump’s administration axed taxpayer funds for EcoHealth Alliance in 2020, the group has received federal grants since Joe Biden was sworn into office.

In its referral, HHS cited “adequate evidence” documenting what the agency contended “provides cause” for EcoHealth’s funding suspension and potential debarment.

Biden’s Debate Demands Show His Weakness. Trump Can Capitalize On It

Published

on

The exhaustive list of demands released by Joe Biden’s campaign for only two presidential debates tells you just how weak he truly is, but whatever. They’re not unreasonable requirements, and a couple could even work to Donald Trump’s advantage.

Trump has accepted the proposal, but he should also insist some of his own conditions are agreed to by Biden and, just as crucially, whoever moderates.

Biden’s demands are laughably transparent. He wants two debates instead of three because his campaign knows as well as anyone there’s no upside in the rapidly deteriorating president appearing next to the tanned, restless, and ready Trump, who is currently demolishing Biden in surveys of swing-state voters.

He wants no live audience in the room because his campaign knows as well as anyone that Trump remains the unparalleled political performer who thrives in front of a crowd.

Biden’s most controversial demand is that Trump’s mic be muted when it’s Biden’s allotted time to speak. After all, Biden’s campaign knows that directly engaging the former president is high risk, no reward. Biden wants the same done for his own mic when it’s Trump’s time.

Again, whatever. Trump would stand to benefit from the muted mic agreement anyway. His performances in the two debates with Biden in 2020 were a failure by any honest assessment. His attempt to overwhelm his opponent with what amounted to a bunch of incoherent noise backfired. It reinforced voters’ belief that Trump was chaotic and exhausting at a time when everything
