Former President Donald Trump blasted Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday for suddenly pretending to care about the ongoing border invasion, citing how the Democrat presidential nominee has had three and a half years to fix the problem.
“You have millions of people coming in a month, and then [Harris] gets up and she tries to pretend like she’s going to do something. She had three and a half years [to stop it],” Trump said during an X interview with owner Elon Musk.
The Republican presidential candidate went on to note how Biden and Harris have at least “another five months” in office to fix the crisis if they want to but predicted they “won’t do anything.”
“It’s all talk,” Trump said. “She’s incompetent and he’s incompetent. And frankly, I think that she’s more incompetent than he is, and that’s saying something because he’s not too good.”
The former president’s remarks appear to be in reference to comments issued by Harris at a recent campaign event, in which she attempted to gaslight Americans into believing she’s serious about stopping the ongoing invasion. Specifically, the sitting vice president attacked Trump for opposing a horribly negotiated congressional bill proposed earlier this year that sought to codify the Biden-Harris invasion into federal law.
“Donald Trump does not want to fix this problem,” Harris proclaimed, before pledging to sign the disastrous border bill if elected this November.
