Thank You To All The Men Who Voted ‘For My Daughter’

Published

on

Out of all the post-election reactions shared on social media in the last 72 hours, perhaps the most grating and eye-roll-inducing are the women sobbing about how a majority of America could have possibly voted “against our daughters.”

“How am I going to tell my daughter that America voted for her rights to be taken away?” sobbed one woman on Instagram. Others crooned about voting “for their daughters” on Election Day, presumably meaning they voted for pro-abortion candidates and ballot initiatives.

Before I explain why I’m grateful for this election “for my daughters” specifically, it needs to be said that these types of posts using children to fight in political culture wars need to stop. Whether it’s your own children, or others’, just stop. Kids under 18 need to be protected, not used by their parents or anyone else as a shield to hide behind or a cudgel to push an adult’s policy preference. But since the “for my daughters” crowd is out in full force this week, I would like to thank all the men and women, but specifically the men, who voted for Donald Trump and “for my daughters.”

Courting the Manosphere

There was a lot of pressure on men this election to “show up for women.” From Barack Obama lecturing “the brothers” to Kamala Harris’ step-daughter demanding men “step up and show they actually support us,” Democrats knew how unappealing and unlikeable their candidate was to men, and they hoped men could be guilted

Trump And Vance Need To Fix The Debt Bomb Biden And Harris Created

Published

Last month, in an interview with Tucker Carlson, J.D. Vance said he worried about the U.S. government bond market in the early stages of a Trump presidency. Because of Biden-Harris spending, the U.S. is adding about $2 trillion to the national debt every year, he said, and “The only thing that makes that serviceable is that interest rates are still pretty low.” If interest rates go much higher, say to 8 percent, “that can become a huge spiral that could take down the finances of this country.”

Vance said that international investors and foreign countries — beneficiaries of globalization — could try to take down the new Trump administration by selling U.S. government bonds, which would cause interest rates to rise sharply. Vance noted we saw this in Britain in late 2022, when newly elected Prime Minister Liz Truss came out with a plan of tax cuts and, partly due to the market reaction and partly due to Bank of England actions, British government bond yields spiked, and many investors and pensioners faced large losses. Truss’ government was taken down in less than two months as a result.

Vance said the immediate fix to this bond market risk is twofold. First, staff the Treasury Department with intelligent people. Second, create flat tariffs (not varying in rates for special interests) that can both generate revenue and bring jobs and economic activity back to the U.S., adding to the tax base.

Finally, Vance hinted that spending cuts could be pursued. He

Laughter Might Be The Best Way To Respond To 2024’s Amazing Election Results

Published

At times like this, it’s tempting to gloat, but conservatives must be gracious winners. We must be courteous to our defeated opponents even though they would not have shown us the same respect had Kamala Harris won. We must resist the temptation to revel in their misery.

With cordiality and sophistication in mind, I’ll use the most dignified analogy I can think of in describing what Democrats are going through at this very moment. When I was in fifth grade, some kid pooped himself while doing pull-ups in gym class. He was mortified. I’ll never forget the look on his face. For more than 30 years after that moment, I never witnessed that level of humiliation again — but then on Nov. 5, 2024, something happened.

After surviving two assassination attempts and a barrage of propaganda and hoaxes from the Democrat Party, what President Donald Trump did to Democrats on Election Day was the equivalent of slipping them a laxative an hour before a hot yoga class.

As the night unfolded and it became clear that Trump would be the 47th president, smug grins gave way to denial, and then to hysteria. Like that poor bastard hanging from the pull-up bar with excrement running down his legs, talking heads on MSNBC and CNN began sweating bullets as panic set in, silently chanting to themselves “No…no! This can’t be happening!”

Oh, but it is happening.

I feel a sudden change of heart coming on. Maybe it’s because my wife and I

Sweden Warns Parents: Quit Plopping Your Baby In Front Of Brain-Rotting Screens

Published

Recently, Sweden released updated guidelines for screen use for children. According to Fortune, the guidelines state that children under the age of 2 should not have any time on screens. The new guidance from Sweden’s Public Health Agency suggests that children between the ages of 2 and 5 should have no more than an hour of screen time, including watching television, video chatting, and playing games on phones and tablets.

At ages 6 to 12, the daily amount of screen time should not exceed one to two hours, and for ages 13 to 16, Sweden advises no more than three daily hours of screen time. This is a dramatic reduction from the average six and a half hours daily Swedish teens are on screens “outside of school hours,” according to Fortune.

“For too long, smartphones and other screens have been allowed to enter every aspect of our children’s lives,” Public Health Minister Jakob Forssmed said in an announcement. He explained, “With these age-appropriate recommendations there is now an important support for children and young people, parents and other caregivers, for a more healthy, conscious and responsible use of screens and digital media.”

While many American parents might be surprised by the suggestion that babies and toddlers not be on screens at all, the guidance is prompted by data about the potentially harmful effects of screen time for developing infants. This is not data exclusive to the nation of Sweden, and the Swedish guidelines are commonsense limits that all nations should
