North Carolina Supreme Court Orders RFK Jr.’s Removal From Ballots

Published

on

The Supreme Court of North Carolina ruled Monday that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s name be stricken from ballots for November’s election, forcing them to be reprinted.

North Carolinians who requested them were supposed to start being mailed their ballots on Friday, marking one of the longest voting seasons in the country, but litigation over RFK, Jr.’s name remaining on the ballot after he dropped out and endorsed former President Donald Trump delayed the process.

After dropping out, Kennedy has been trying to help Trump in critical swing states. Depending on the political calculus of the state, he has been trying to remove his name from some ballots and remain on others.

“Our polling consistently showed that by staying on the ballot in the battleground states, I would likely hand the election over to the Democrats, with whom I disagree on the most existential issues,” Kennedy said of his strategy.

In North Carolina, Kennedy’s status as a lifelong Democrat from a powerful political dynasty initially prompted Democrats to sue to keep him off the ballot for fear he would sap votes from Vice President Kamala Harris, but now they have been trying to keep him on as it became clear his presence would likely take votes from Trump.

With Kennedy removed, the Trump campaign could benefit by being the next-best option for Kennedy supporters, as polling from just prior to Kennedy dropping out and Biden being removed from the Democrat ticket showed that Kennedy has net positive ratings from Republicans but

Republicans Look To Reshape State Goverments After Major 2024 Victories

Published

on

While the political world’s eyes are focused on Republicans winning trifecta control of the federal government for the first time since 2017, the GOP had many other major victories last week that deserve attention as well.

Throughout the country, Republicans scored significant wins in state legislative races imperative to implementing a conservative agenda moving forward.

In Arizona, Republicans are on track to maintain their majorities in the state House and Senate, preliminary election results from the New York Times suggest. Republicans could potentially expand their majorities in both chambers as well. The outcome marks a huge defeat for leftists, who spent millions of dollars to flip or “reach ties” in state legislatures including in Arizona, as The Federalist previously reported, where a slim GOP legislative majority separates the state from a Democrat trifecta takeover.

In South Carolina, unofficial results indicate Republicans won a veto-proof supermajority in the state Senate and held onto their supermajority in the state House of Representatives. Similar trends are also reflected in Iowa’s preliminary results, which show the state GOP is already projected to expand its majority in the state House.

In New Hampshire, Republicans are on track to maintain trifecta control of state government, according to early results. The GOP is projected to win the governor’s mansion and a supermajority in the Senate and could also expand its majority in the House compared to 2022 results.

Despite efforts by Kansas Democrat Gov. Laura Kelly and Democrats to take down Republican legislative candidates this cycle,

FEMA Employee Fired For Bypassing Homes With Trump Signs Says She Was Following Agency Protocol

Published

on

An employee who was terminated from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for ordering government workers to bypass homes of Trump supporters said she was simply following standard operating procedure.

On Friday, the Daily Wire reported that FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington had instructed staff to “avoid homes advertising Trump” while “they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid” after Hurricane Milton tore through the region in early October.

“Government employees told The Daily Wire that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were skipped from the end of October and into November due to the guidance, meaning they were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance,” the outlet reported. “Images shared with The Daily Wire show that houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote in the government system messages such as: ‘Trump sign no entry per leadership.’”

Washington was promptly fired from the agency, and FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell condemned the conduct as “a clear violation of FEMA’s core values & principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation.”

“This was reprehensible,” Criswell said. “This employee has been terminated and we have referred the matter to the Office of Special Counsel.”

Washington, however, who was also terminated from her private sector job at a property management company, said in an interview with the Black Star Network published late Monday night that she was just following FEMA’s standard operating procedure.

“FEMA always preaches avoidance first and then de-escalation,”

Kristi Noem Isn’t Courageous Enough To Be Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary

Published

on

Multiple outlets say, based largely on claims from CNN via anonymous sources, that President-elect Donald Trump intends to nominate South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as his Homeland Security secretary. While Noem is certainly skilled at promoting herself, she doesn’t have the courage required for this role.

Numerous top aides fled Noem’s office after she lied to voters about sabotaging policies key to Trump’s win — policies acknowledging that men and women are different. Requiring men to stay out of women’s sports and sanctioning those who give sex shows to kids should have been easy for her to back as the governor of a deep-red non-border state.

But, as The Federalist reported, Noem chose to side against her own voters on behalf of some of her state’s biggest lobbyists in the corrupt health-industrial complex. That’s the same complex that Trump has promised he’s going to take down at the federal level with Robert F. Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” team.

At the time, Noem’s “top advisor” had lobbying clients that included a state hospital system that profited from amputating the healthy genitals of minors. And when she was called out on this by the likes of Tucker Carlson, Noem’s defense was that she’s scared to engage in lawsuits on behalf of Americans’ obvious best interests.

The entire point of this bill is to help women have legal recourse against being forced to compete against men. Noem says she’s TERRIFIED to allow legal fights (?) much less spend time on them,
