Judge Kills Case That Would Require Pennsylvania To Verify Overseas Voters’ Identities

Published

on

Pennsylvania election policies for overseas voters have created vulnerabilities that could lead to corruption according to a court case. With early voting underway, the Pennsylvania Department of State and six members of Congress have been in a legal battle over whether these voters’ identities should be verified before they are given a ballot.

But the case was dismissed Tuesday, at the request of Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt, not based on the merits of the case but because of timing. Plaintiffs “delayed too long to file their action, they lack standing, they have failed to join indispensable parties, and they have failed to articulate a viable cause of action,” Judge Christopher C. Conner of the U.S. Middle District Court of Pennsylvania said in his decision.

The case was brought by U.S. Reps. Guy Reschenthaler, Dan Meuser, Glenn “G.T.” Thompson, Lloyd Smucker, Mike Kelly, and Scott Perry, who joined the action later.

The case stems from guidance the state gave counties regarding the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), a federal law that assures American citizens who are out of the country can still vote. Sometimes UOCAVA voters are called military voters because they used to be mostly military. But since 2014, nonmilitary voters have outpaced those in the military, data from the Election Administration and Voting Survey shows.

Under The Boot Of Power-Hungry Bureaucrats, We’re All Peanut The Squirrel

Published

on

There is a lot going on in New York. An influx of illegal immigrants is straining the capital city. Only 30 percent of residents are happy with the quality of life the Big Apple currently affords them. Donald Trump held a rally at Madison Square Garden, which for some reason reminded people that the venue previously hosted Adolf Hitler as well as some WNBA games. Finally, a man and his wife in a rural part of the state had the temerity to adopt and raise an orphaned squirrel

Naturally, that last one is what really got the bureaucrats fired up, going to judges and agency heads to warn that the state is headed toward a disaster of biblical proportions. As such, they did what responsible bureaucrats do, namely raiding the home of Mark and Daniela Longo, seizing Peanut the squirrel, as well as Fred the raccoon, and then murdering the adorable critters.

While the response to this insanely ridiculous sequence of events has been swift and brutal toward the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, the outrage will not bring back little Peanut or medium-sized Fred. Their flames have forever been extinguished. In a just world, the perpetrators of this offense would lose their livelihoods and reputations before being sent to live in the wilderness with nothing but the hope that the woodland creatures would take them in and care for them. Alas, they’re union members, so at most they’ll get a short paid leave from work.

Instead then, let

Left-Wing Groups Are Fighting To Kill Wisconsin’s Citizen-Only Voting Amendment

Published

on

Wisconsin voters will have the opportunity on Election Day to ensure that “only” U.S. citizens can vote in Badger State elections — and an army of leftist groups is fighting tooth and nail to see the constitutional amendment ballot question fail.

Wisconsin is among eight states with Citizen-Only Voting Amendments (COVA) on Tuesday’s general election ballot. While COVA advocates sound confident that the referenda will be approved, Wisconsin left-wing activists have come out in full force to try to shut down the drive.

“We’re confident that all eight amendments are going to pass because it’s an issue people get and agree with. But the most difficult is Wisconsin because of well-funded opposition,” Jack Tomczak, vice president for Citizen Outreach for Americans for Citizen Voting, told The Federalist in an interview late last week.

‘Every’ vs. ‘Only’

Wisconsin’s ballot question asks voters the following:

Should…[the Constitution] be amended to provide that only a United States citizen age 18 or older who resides in an election district may vote in an election for national, state, or local office or on a statewide or local referendum?

Wisconsin’s constitution states, “Every U.S. citizen age 18 or older who has resided in an election district or ward for 28 consecutive days before any election where the citizen offers to vote is an eligible elector.”

Just one little word makes a very big difference, proponents of the amendment say. “Only” clearly limits voting in state elections to citizens; “every” leaves open the door for noncitizens

Biden Follows Up ‘Garbage’ Comment By Expressing Urge To ‘Smack’ Male Republicans

Published

on

President Joe Biden followed his condemnation of half the country as “garbage” last week by publicly fantasizing about giving men who vote for Republicans a “smack.”

At his final campaign stop for Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday, Biden told Pennsylvania voters he’d like to hit “macho guys.”

“There’s one more thing Trump and his Republican friends want to do. They want to have a giant tax cut for the wealthy,” Biden said. “Now, I know some of you guys are tempted to think it’s macho guys.”

“I tell you what, man, when I was in Scranton, we used to have a little trouble going down the plot once in a while,” Biden added. “These are the kinds of guys you’d like to smack in the -ss,” Biden said.

Trump mocked the lame-duck commander-in-chief at a North Carolina event later Saturday night.

“I don’t even know, is he still around?” Trump asked a rally crowd, according to the Associated Press.

Trump also taunted the outgoing president last week after Biden called the Republican nominee’s supporters’ “garbage” as Harris delivered her final arguments on the National Mall.

“Donald Trump has no character,” Biden said on a call with Latino activists. The president
