John Fetterman Is A Danger To Himself

Sen. John Fetterman should not be in the U.S. Senate. Looking past the facts that his politics are utterly unhinged and that he was elected through a dubious mail-in voting system, Fetterman has not fully recovered from the stroke he suffered while on the campaign trail and remains neurologically and physically compromised. Simply put, the man is not well and may not get better.

During his 2022 primary campaign, Fetterman suffered a well-publicized stroke, after which doctors implanted a pacemaker and defibrillator. While he was in the hospital, his wife Gisele continued to campaign for him, but even after securing the Democratic Party’s nomination, he continued to struggle — a fact that has been further substantiated by his recent hospitalization after attending a daylong Senate Democrat retreat in the nation’s capital.

According to The New York Times, a publication that has nothing to gain by ousting him from power, Fetterman’s hearing issues get worse in “stressful or unfamiliar” situations. Reportedly, Fetterman has even described his situation as “trying to make out the muffled voice of the teacher in the ‘Peanuts’ cartoon, whose words could never be deciphered.”

So delayed is his recovery, undeniably because of his career, that the senator’s office has been retrofitted with monitors that provide closed caption transcriptions of spoken communications. Similar hardware has even been installed on the Senate floor to accommodate him when it’s his turn to preside over the body.
