Media’s Racialized Coverage Of The East Palestine Train Wreck Is Yet Another Toxic Disaster

Published

on

The hazardous chemical disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent acknowledges in a Feb. 21 column, is “a story about profit-driven rail companies underinvesting in safety, lobbyists weakening rail regulation, and the government’s failure to assure residents’ security from lingering toxins.” Seemingly unilaterally, the corporate media refuse to engage in good faith with concerns from the right about the crisis; The New York Times even described right-wing criticisms as though they were overly cynical.

And even though the liberal pundit Sargent is willing to acknowledge the current presidential administration may bear part of the blame for this humanitarian and ecological crisis, he avers that “what’s objectionable is the right’s deliberate racializing of this story.”

Even amid an apolitical tragedy, the corporate media make the right the bad guy.

Tired Newsflash: Liberal Attacks Conservatives on Race

Sargent is referring to various comments by conservative pundits and Republican politicians who have tarred Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as being negligent and abandoning working-class white communities in favor of woke policies. Buttigieg earlier this month complained about construction projects in “neighborhood[s] of color,” where “everyone in the hard hats on that project, doing the good paying jobs, don’t look like they came from anywhere near the neighborhood” — or, in other words, too many white construction workers. Tucker Carlson, Sen. J.D. Vance, and Charlie Kirk, among others, unsurprisingly pounced on the secretary’s controversial comments.

Cue Sargent’s finger-wagging in his op-ed, provocatively titled, “The right fans a repulsive campaign to racialize the

The Best Thing For America Would Be A Donald Trump Blowout

Published

If Democrats had their way, Donald Trump wouldn’t be anywhere near the presidency again. So wrote MSNBC’s Hayes Brown on the eve of the 2024 election’s final day. But Trump is near the presidency — perhaps by decisive margins — and Democrats are apoplectic.

The “biggest contributor to the unease that millions of Americans have felt as Election Day approaches,” Brown wrote, is “that there is any tension about the outcome at all. The 2024 election should not be anywhere near as close as it appears, not with Trump’s name on the ballot for the third straight election.”

Brown is right that the election shouldn’t be close, but he’s wrong about why.

The best thing for the country would not be a big or small victory for Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and their phony “unity” schtick. It wouldn’t even be a razor-thin Trump-Vance win. The best outcome for the health of our nation — and democracy — would be a landslide victory for Donald Trump.

Just Deserts

First, and most importantly, America needs a decisive victory to communicate to Democrat leaders, media propagandists, bureaucratic tyrants, violent rioters, Big Tech censors, race hustlers, and rogue three-letter agencies that their underhanded and often illegal actions will not be rewarded with electoral victory.

No, Democrats don’t deserve to win after waging unprecedented lawfare against their political opponents, from the former president to peaceful pro-life protesters. They don’t deserve to win after turning federal agencies into a Democrat get-out-the-vote hydra. Or after lying about the integrity of

Joe Rogan Endorses Trump After Discussing ‘Most Compelling Case For Trump You’ll Hear’ With Elon Musk

Published

on

Popular podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan endorsed former President Donald Trump on the night before the election after a conversation with business magnate Elon Musk.

“If it wasn’t for him we’d be f-cked,” Rogan said of Musk in a post on X. “He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.”

“For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump,” Rogan added.

The endorsement comes after Rogan had both Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, on his show for lengthy interviews. He apparently tried to get Vice President Kamala Harris on the show as well, but indicated that her campaign had tried to preemptively neuter the interview by limiting the time and scope.

“I view this election as a turning point, like a fork in the road of destiny that is incredibly important,” Musk said. “You know, I’ve not been politically active until this election. And the reason I’ve been politically active this election is because I think if we don’t, if we don’t elect Trump, I think we will lose, we will lose democracy in this country.”

“What I’m saying is like, this election is the last chance to preserve democracy in America. Mark my words,” he added. “Everything they accuse Trump of, they are guilty of. And if Trump doesn’t win, this will be the last real election in America.”

Rogan and Musk marveled at the many hoaxes levied

Notorious Wisconsin Election Official Is Ordered To Follow The Law

Published

on

Swing state Wisconsin’s most notorious elections clerk repeatedly failed to follow election integrity laws. Now, on the eve of Election Day, the state’s elections regulator is ordering Green Bay Clerk Celestine Jeffreys to comply.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission sent a letter to Jeffreys late last week after finally dealing with a complaint filed by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) on behalf of Green Bay residents.

According to the complaint, the clerk did not comply with procedures for auditing voters who registered to vote at their polling places on Election Day for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 elections.

“In short, and as detailed further in the analysis below, the Commission finds that the Complaint did show probable cause to believe that a violation of law or abuse of discretion occurred with relation to Clerk Jeffreys’s procedural actions,” the WEC order states.

PILF filed the complaint in April, but the commission is just getting around to issuing its decision and order.

‘A Lack of Awareness’

So will Jeffreys face any discipline? Not so much.

The commission, just a few days before the election, ordered Jeffreys to take “affirmative steps” to comply with the law as well as the commission’s updated Election Day Registration postcard guidance issued in February 2023. She must also certify to the commission that she has completed the steps required under law “at the earliest time practicable after the November 5, 2024 election, but no later than Monday, February 3, 2025.”

As The Federalist has reported, Jeffreys earlier
